What I Miss the Most

How often will you do this?
All I wanted was another year,
another kiss
from you.
Now what do I do?
I can't figure out

What I miss the most
is the way you used to look in my eyes.
And the times you'd hold me close
all through the night.
And what I hate the most
is everytime I cry.
Oh, oh, oh
Tell me why
Why'd we have to say goodbye.

How long will you keep me up
on top of the highest pedestal?
Haven't I suffered enough?
But you still won't give up.
You still won't give up.

What I miss the most
is the way you used to look in my eyes.
And the times you'd hold me close
all through the night.
And what I hate the most
is everytime I cry.
Oh, oh, oh
Tell me why
Why'd we have to say goodbye?

Love!
Has got the best of me.
Oh,oh,oh,oh
All that I need.
is you....
is you.

Thanks for stopping by today Nappy and leaving a comment re: Black History Month in Europe. Please stay tuned as there will be a series of interesting posts from a team of German and American bloggers on the subject in celebration of Black History Month 2007. You may be interested in my upcoming post about Alessandro dé Medici, the first black prince in Europe. I read in your profile that you are interested in travelling to Italy someday.

I see that you are "in love" with poetry. If so, be sure to stop by and pay a visit to my two African poet friends in the blogosphere:

Enjoy. It's always a pleasure to have a visitor @ Jewels from the Great State of Georgia.
